Wanted: Missed connections in United Kingdom, Motherwell

Looking for relatives of my gr-grandfather, Thomas Sutherland Stewart. He was born March 11 1873, died May 30 1940 in Vancouver B.C. He was survived by his father, two brothers and two sisters in Scotland. I get the feeling that there was some sort of rift in the family since there was evedently no contact once he was in Canada.
